The short version#
- Actions that fetch new data cost credits: a rank check, a map scan, an AI visibility run, a keyword lookup, a backlinks lookup, an article draft and similar.
- Reading data you already have is free: opening a saved report, browsing past runs, filtering tables, exporting CSV, the dashboard, Search Console and Google Analytics reports, the site crawl results.
- The price is always on the button before you click. What the button says is what you pay.
- If a job fails, you are not charged. If it partly fails, you pay only for what was delivered.
The current price of every action is in the price list. Prices can change, so the button in the app is always the final word.
Hold, settle, refund#
Every paid action goes through three steps:
- Hold. When you click, the price is reserved from your balance. Your balance drops right away so you cannot start more work than you can pay for.
- Settle. When the job finishes, the reserved amount is charged for what was actually delivered.
- Refund. Anything not delivered goes back to your balance automatically: failed points on a map scan, keywords that could not be checked, a run you stopped, a report that could not be built.
You never need to ask for a refund for a failed job. The history in My account shows the hold, the final charge and any returned part.
The price you see is the price you pay#
If prices change between the moment you open a screen and the moment you click, Rankfinity does not charge the new price silently. You get a message that the price changed, nothing is reserved, and the button shows the new price. Click again to accept it.
What is free#
- Everything you read from stored data: past rank checks, map scans, AI answers, crawls, saved snapshots ("Your lookups"), reports you already generated.
- Search Console and Google Analytics data (it comes from Google, not from us).
- Scheduled site crawls (they are part of your plan), Core Web Vitals checks within the daily limits, the on-page generators, the IndexNow status checks.
- The ready answers in the AI Assistant and simple questions like "what can you do".
- Filtering, sorting, exporting CSV, sharing a link, editing projects and keywords.
What a site crawl costs#
A crawl you start yourself costs 2 credits per started 100 pages; a crawl on a schedule is included in your plan. How many pages one crawl may cover depends on the plan: Free 500, Solo 1,000, Business 2,000, Pro 5,000, Agency 10,000. Reading the results is always free.
What the AI assistant costs#
A message to the assistant costs credits by depth: Quick 26, Detailed 76, Expert 80. Ready answers to the canned questions are free. The price is shown next to the send button.
Plans and top-ups#
- Plans (Free, Solo, Business, Pro, Agency) include a monthly amount of credits and a number of projects and other limits. Every feature is on every plan. Compare them in My account › Billing › Compare plans. Plan credits reset every billing period: unused plan credits end at the renewal date and the new period starts with a fresh allowance.
- Top-ups are one-off credit packs. Open Billing and use the slider to pick an amount; larger packs get a better rate. Top-up credits do not renew and do not end with the plan period. If a pack has a validity date, Billing shows it next to the batch.
- When both exist, plan credits are used before purchased credits. Billing shows the split: included in your plan, purchased, and when the next renewal comes.
- The Free plan costs nothing and never ends. It gives 1,000 credits at the start of every month — your first month's 1,000 arrive the moment you sign up. Unused Free credits reset at the next month, and when you start a paid plan its allowance replaces them; credits you bought stay.
When a paid plan offers a free trial#
Some paid plans may start with a free trial; when they do, Billing and Compare plans show it on the plan (for example "7-day free trial"). During the trial:
- You get part of the plan's monthly credits — the trial credits. The rest of the month's credits arrive with your first payment, when the trial ends. Depending on the plan, the trial credits may come in weekly parts ("more on <date>").
- A strip at the top shows "Trial · N days left · X of Y trial credits used".
- If an action needs more than the trial credits, the window says so and offers End trial and start paid plan — the trial ends now, you pay, and the full monthly credits arrive with that payment.
- Top-up packs are usually not available during a trial; they open with your first payment.
- If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged and the remaining trial credits end with it.
Each account can use a free trial once.
Checks included in your plan#
Every plan includes automatic re-checks: a number of keywords for Rank Tracking and a number of keywords on the map, checked on the plan's own rhythm (for example weekly on Solo, daily on Pro and Agency). They are shared by all projects in your workspace.
- The first check of a newly added keyword is charged once, at the normal price. After that, its re-checks inside your plan cost no credits.
- Only keywords above the allowance are charged, and only when you turn on a schedule for them. Scheduled site crawls are included as well.
- Project settings, Rank Tracking › Automatic and Map › Re-check say "Included in your plan · N of M keywords" and show credits only for what is above it.
Payments run through Stripe. Owners can open Manage billing in Billing to update a card, download invoices or cancel. See Account, billing and privacy.
Running low#
- Your balance is in the header at all times.
- When you are close to running out you get an in-app warning and, if you allow it, an email.
- If you start an action without enough credits, you see a window "Not enough credits" with how many you need and how many you have. Choose Add credits, or I'll wait to see the date your plan renews.
- Schedules that run while your balance is too low skip that run and try again at the next scheduled time. You get one notice, not one per hour.
Credit history#
Open My account › Activity to see your spending:
- Spent / left / pace boxes for the chosen period, with how long your balance lasts at the current pace.
- Spend by feature — bars for rank tracking, map scans, AI visibility and so on.
- Spend over time — a daily chart; point at a bar to see the day's total.
- History — every charge, return and top-up, with a link to the job it belongs to. Filter by feature or project, search, Load more, and export CSV.
You can also open Credit history from the balance in the header.
Team wallets#
A team shares one wallet: the credits belong to the account owner and every member spends from it. Owners can limit who may spend on each project (see Team and client access). Clients never see the wallet; the agency pays for their projects.
Common questions#
Why did my balance drop before the job finished? That is the hold. When the job ends, anything not used comes back.
A map scan failed on some points. Did I pay for them? No. Failed points are returned. Points we skip on a Smart scan are not charged either.
I stopped a scan halfway. What do I pay? Only the part that was delivered. The keyword in progress finishes; the rest is returned.
Do scheduled jobs cost credits? Yes, the same as running them by hand, unless a plan or a setting says otherwise. Each schedule shows its estimated monthly cost before you save it.
Are prices in dollars? No. Everything in the app is in credits. Dollar amounts appear only on the plan and top-up prices you pay.
Where is the full price list? On the credit prices page.
