Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with Rankfinity — in the application, through the API and MCP, with the browser extension, the WordPress plugin and the free tools.
Pending legal review — not legal advice. This policy is part of the Terms of Service and was prepared by us; it is being reviewed by a qualified lawyer.
1 · Crawling and checking websites
- Full crawls and site audits only of a website you own, or one whose owner has authorised you. If you are an agency, get that authority from your client before the first crawl.
- Do not try to defeat the crawler's limits: it reads and respects
robots.txt, identifies itself, paces its requests and skips oversized pages. - Single-page checks, the free tools and the browser extension read a public page once, as any visitor would. Do not use them in bulk or in a loop against a site that is not yours.
- Do not use the service to test the security of a site, to place load on it or to reach pages that need a password you are not entitled to.
2 · Outreach and other email
- Through Link Builder you are the sender. Write only to people you may lawfully contact where they are. In the European Union and the United Kingdom unsolicited marketing email to individuals and sole traders is restricted; in some countries it is restricted for businesses too.
- Identify yourself truthfully, give your postal address where the law requires it, say where you found the address when the law requires it, and honour every opt-out at once. Do not remove or hide the opt-out link.
- Do not send bulk, deceptive, threatening or harassing messages, do not buy or rent address lists to send through the service, and do not use addresses found for one purpose for an unrelated one.
- We apply daily sending limits and a suppression list of addresses that must not be contacted, and real outreach sending stays switched off until we enable it for the service. We may stop a campaign or suppress an address at any time.
3 · Content you publish
- You are responsible for anything you publish, send or submit with the service: pages and posts published through Content Writer or the WordPress agent, outreach email, review replies, Business Profile posts and shared reports.
- Review AI-generated text before publishing it. Check facts, claims and the rights in any text or image, and label AI-generated content where the law or the platform requires it.
- Do not publish fake reviews, fake testimonials, review gating or content that impersonates a person or a business. Do not create doorway pages, hidden text or other content whose purpose is to deceive search engines or readers.
- Follow the rules of the platform you publish to, including the Google Business Profile policies.
4 · Data from the service
- Use the data inside your own work and in reports for your clients. Do not resell or redistribute the raw data the service obtains from its providers as a data feed, an API or a competing dataset.
- Do not use the service to build a profile of an individual, to collect personal data for an unrelated purpose, or to look for sensitive information about people.
- Do not load special categories of personal data (health, biometric, political opinions and similar) or payment card numbers into the service.
5 · The platform itself
- Do not try to reach another account's data, to probe, scan or attack the service, to get around rate limits, daily caps or credit charges, or to run automated traffic against it outside the documented API and MCP interfaces and their limits.
- Do not scrape, copy or mirror the application, its reports, its price list or its help pages in bulk, and do not use the service to build a substantially similar competing product.
- Do not try to extract the methods, prompts or formulas behind the assistant, the ready-made skills or the scores — for example by asking an AI client to reveal them. Such requests are refused.
- Security researchers: write to us first and follow the rules on the Security page.
6 · Accounts, credits and rewards
- Do not create several accounts, or use disposable email addresses, to collect free credits, trials, referral bonuses or partner commissions more than once.
- Do not refer yourself, buy referrals or commissions, or pay for a plan with the same card as the inviting account to collect a reward.
- Do not open a payment dispute for work you received and used; write to us instead.
- Do not share a login or a token outside your workspace; invite colleagues instead.
7 · AI features
- Do not use the AI features to produce content that the usage policies of the AI providers listed on the Sub-processors page prohibit, such as content that is unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory or harmful.
- Do not use AI output to take decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.
- You are responsible for the AI clients you connect over MCP and for what they do with the access you give them.
8 · Prohibited content and purposes
Do not use the service for anything unlawful, including infringing intellectual property, unfair or misleading commercial practices, defamation, fraud, phishing, malware, or the promotion of illegal goods and services; do not put such content into project names, report branding or shared links; and do not use the service if the sanctions rules in the Terms apply to you.
9 · Enforcement and reporting
We act in steps, as described in the Terms: a warning, then suspension of the feature or the account, then termination for a serious or repeated breach; we may act at once where the law requires it, where other users or third-party sites are affected, or where credits or rewards were obtained by abuse. We tell you what we did and why, and a person reviews your reply.
To report abuse of the service — spam, an unlawful shared report, a crawler problem on your site —
write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with the details. Copyright
complaints follow the Copyright and abuse page. If our crawler visits your
site and you do not want it to, disallow it in robots.txt and tell us.
