# Ad value (est.)

> What "Ad value (est.)" means and why small sites see "Too little traffic to estimate" instead of a number.

## What the number means

**Ad value (est.)** answers one question: *if this site had to buy its organic visits as Google Ads clicks, roughly what would they cost per month?* It is an estimate of what the traffic is worth, not money anyone paid or earned.

It is shown in Domain overview, on the Dashboard (Organic search card), in Competitor analysis, in Your lookups and in the Site block of reports. Point at the number to see the same explanation. On the app's screens, money figures are shown to administrators only; everyone else sees traffic and keywords.

## Too little traffic to estimate

Below 10 estimated visits a month, any money figure would be noise: one keyword moving one position changes it completely. In that case you see the words **Too little traffic to estimate** instead of a number. It is never shown as zero.

You may also see **Not enough keyword prices to estimate** when none of the keywords the site ranks for has a known cost per click above zero in that market.
